Intervention

Martifer Metallic Constructions is responsible for the steel structure and façade of the Humberto Delgado Airport extension project (consortium).

The works include improvements to the South Apron (aircraft parking area), the South Pier and the Central Pier.


SOUTH PIER


2,878 tonnes of steel structure;

13,216 sqm of composite decking;

10,498 ml of Z-shaped purlins;

3,095 sqm of glass façades using the AOC (Ad-on Construction) system;

1,840 sqm of steel façades with 60-minute fire-resistant glass and interior steel frame openings;

638 sqm of façade closures made with opaque panels.


CENTRAL PIER & SOUTH APRON


324 tonnes of steel structure including guardrails, balustrades, staircases, reinforcements, columns, walkways, platforms and supports;

1,720 sqm of traditional curtain wall and various window frames;

220 sqm of 30-minute fire-rated steel openings.
